In 2004, Malia Hill was dragged to a yoga class by a friend in Hawaii. She felt overworked, overweight, overstressed, and very disconnected from her body. Through yoga, she made changes to her life that she had always been afraid to make. She learned to deal with stress and challenge in healthier ways. Malia became a yoga instructor to help spread the benefits of yoga and living in the present moment to as many people as possible. She completed her Teacher Training program at The Yoga Company in San Ramon in 2009, and her OnBoard Fitness certification in 2011. Malia’s yoga class is a playful flow, mixing vinyasa, power, and ashtanga styles. She teaches at The Yoga Company, ClubSport Pleasanton and San Ramon, and at The Studio in Danville. She is the co-founder of SupAsana East Bay and has taught SUP yoga at Wanderlust Festival in Tahoe and Hawaii. Malia is a BOGA Yoga ambassador for BOGA Paddleboards and co-teaches BOGA yoga teacher trainings. She has represented SupAsana twice on KPIX mobile weather with Roberta Gonzales. She was also a featured presenter at Yoga Rocks The Park. She has had the honor of being a lululemon ambassador for three consecutive years and counting. Malia is the co-chair for Yoga Reaches Out Bay Area, a charity that raises money for children in need through yoga related events. She is the proud mother of a wonderful little girl, Kalea Lani.

She spent the next several years exploring the various styles of  in all of the amazing studios that San Francisco has to offer. In 2004 Amy moved from Wisconsin to California, where life changing events shifted her focus to healing herself and facilitating healing in others through bodywork, yoga and exercise.  In 2010, after practicing yoga for over 10 years she was motivated to teach.  Having gained wisdom from the injuries and stories of clients and herself, she attended The Yoga Company’s 200-hour yoga teacher training and advanced studies programs.  Most recently Amy took her love of yoga a bit further and got certified as a BOGA Yoga Stand Up Paddle  (SUP) Yoga Instructor.
